Photo Essay

On Boston.com I found a photo essay called 2011 NFL season kicks off. In the article pictures are shown of game one through out all teams. When I was looking at these pictures they made me think how special of an athlete you have to be because this sport is just brutal. This article caught my eye because I love football. I love watching these amazing athletes putting their career on the line and giving me an outstanding show. They always seem to approve. In one picture this a Kansas City Chief player was getting tackled and Buffalo Bill linebacker was twisting his head on the way down. These players are freakish athletes! I learned that if you want to be at the top, you have to be good at what you want and you got to want it more then anything.

A Life In A Day

In my class we watched a movie called, a Life in a Day. The way this movie was made was, a bunch of people around the world filmed what there day was like on July 24th and sent there videos into a professional editor. The editor mashed all the videos together and made a beautiful movie. The scenes that I remember most is, when the boy was making money by polishing shoes, the concert in Germany when a lot of people died, the scars on the back of the mom with cancer, the cyclist who is traveling around the world on bike, and the goat when it got its head chopped off.
The scenes that gave me a positive reaction was the cyclist, the man that got a piano, the old couple getting married again for there anniversery, and the baby being born. Some negative scenes were, the German Love concert, the mom with cancer, the family that prayed everyday for their lost mother, and the goat that got its head cut off.
In the movie the scenes kept switching from poor to rich, from happy to sad, the p.attern followed juxtaposition. Juxtaposition is when you go from one thing, to its complete opposite. Some petterns of juxtaposition I saw were a man with a big house, and then a home in the forest made of grass. THis movie made me feel various emotions. I felt curious, sad, happy, thankful, and caring. I felt this way because when I saw how happy or sad people were I had feelings for them. The movie made me think of how big our world really is and how messed up but yet beautiful it can be. I would recommend this movie to someone spoiled or anyone that's in a bad situation because it will show the spoiled how little other people have and all they want is more, and it shows the people in bad situations that you're not the only one.

BOTTOM LINE WATCH THIS MOVIE!

Top 100 of TIME Magazine

When I looked at TIME's top 100 people of 2011 three people stuck out to me.

  • Bruno Mars
  • Tom Ford
  • Justin Bieber
I think Bruno Mars got on the list, because of his inspirational music and his talent. B.o.B said that Bruno doesn't have sessions when he records, he says it's a live performance. Such talent should be notice and TIME has.

Tom Ford stuck out for me because he was a caring and polite adult, that's rare for both. He is also very kind and honest. Rita Wilson said that Tom Ford was a good friend as well. I think Tom Ford is in TIME's list for just being a good person.

Lastly, Justin Bieber. I'm not like most guys where they hate on him because there jealous. I know exactly why he got into the list; he is a talented kid. As a musician myself, I want to be like Justin Bieber.
